Back into the exercise classes!

Well after about a week of not going to the gym, I forced my ass back into gear this week and I have gone three times so far. Here's what classes I went to and what I thought:

Monday: Aquafit - doesnt feel like exercise until you get out of the water, once you get out you feel like you weigh about 800 lbs. wow. But still a little boring and mostly old people there :(

Tuesday: Yoga- so I got mixed up and thought I was going to the class that was a mix of pilates and yoga, but it turns out it was just yoga! Haven't done that in awhile, and boy it was hard!! I find many of the poses really hard especially downward dog and stuff like that because my arms are really weak and I cannot hold my weight on my arms!! But it's so good for your body so I will probably still go to this class when I can.

Thurs: Pilates. Actually started out with yoga moves for like 15-20 mins. Didn't really like that, then we got into other stuff which was still kinda hard but I can tell it was a good workout. Good for the abs!

I just switched gyms, because the one I was going to before was expensive and this new community center is about half the price. There is some major differences that will take some getting used to.

1. old gym- had real yoga mats for everyone to use. They had a large supply so most people could use two. new gym- doesnt have real yoga mats!!! They just use normal gym mats, which don't give you as good of a grip, so I will be bringing my own yoga mat next time for sure.

2. old gym- had really good music during the classes! It was basically just a bunch of popular songs, like some John mayer and stuff like that, which i enjoyed singing along which exercising. new gym- doesnt have good music. Infact its just like music without words , and I don't really like it. lol.

Oh well I guess this is why I am only paying half the price that I was paying before. Of course I am not going to go back to the old gym or anything, I can totally live with these changes, I'm just starting to see why this one doesn't cost as much!

Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger

I just finished this great book called "Everyone Worth Knowing" by Lauren Weisberger. She is also the author of The Devil Wears Prada. This is one of the books I picked up at a used book store and I'm really glad I got it. It reminds me a bit of the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, which I also really enjoy. I will definately be looking for other books by this author!

Here is the description from Chapters:

Soon after Bette Robinson quits her horrendous Manhattan banking job like the impulsive girl she''s never been, the novelty of walking her four-pound dog around the unglamorous Murray Hill neighborhood wears as thin as the "What are you going to do with your life?" phone calls from her parents. Then Bette meets Kelly, head of Manhattan''s hottest PR firm, and suddenly she has a brand-new job where the primary requirement is to see and be seen inside the VIP rooms of the city''s most exclusive nightclubs. But when Bette begins appearing in a vicious new gossip column, she realizes that the line between her personal life and her professional life is...invisible.

Check it out ladies!

Pleasantly surprised with Quo!

The other day I was at Shoppers Drug Mart and I came across this eyeshadow palette from Quo for $20. There was a tester so I tested the colours on my hand and I was pleasantly surprised! They were beautiful colours and perfect for creating a smokey eye. Here is what they looked like when I tested them on my hand.

I thought these were really nice neutral tones for the fall season. I also picked up a Lise Watier "Eye Shine" eye liner in "Deep Blue."
I really like this blue shade and it looks great on my brown eyes. I am really glad that I bought these products and I am excited to discover what looks I can create with them. Now all I need is the perfect eye primer and I am good to go!

Back to the gym..

Well yesterday was my first time back at the gym for a few months!! I was a member of somewhat expensive gym and was really into it for awhile and then I lost the motivation. I'm not really sure why, but I stopped going regularly. The one thing I did like going to was a class that was a combination of yoga and pilates. I went and checked out a local community center that was recently built near my house. It's about half the price of the gym that I used to go to, AND it has a pool! It's not open as late as the other one and not open on holidays but that doesn't really matter to me. And it still has a combination yoga/pilates class that I can attend.

Yesterday after work I went and got a monthly pass, because I'm just going to check it out for a bit and then decide if I will buy a full year membership. So I went on the cross-trainer, and then the treadmill, for a total of about 40 mins. Then I went into the pool during public swimming and swam a few laps. Boy was I tired afterwards! I am actually pretty sore today. I was planning on going today but after feeling this pain in my lower back I decided not too. But I am planning on going this weekend though, hopefully this pain I am getting is nothing big and just my muscles getting their memory back!

Revlon's Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup

Have you guys seen the commercials for this? Its a foundation that starts out white and supposedly adjusts its colour to match your skin tone. I didn't believe it when Almay first came out with this and I still don't....but I'm a little curious to try it because if it DID work..that would be pretty cool.

Has anyone tried this stuff? Or the one by Almay?

Found the Coolest Website!

The other night when I couldn't sleep I got on my computer and I dont remember how exactly but I came across this site called Etsy.com. It is described as being "Your place to buy and sell all things handmade." Well let me say I am hooked on this site!!!! It's kind of like ebay only its all stuff that poeple made themselves and you don't have to bid on items. You can browse by category, and even search for sellers in your area. There is even a gift guide where you can click on the occasion you are buying for and it gives you ideas. Here are just a few of them items I liked:
Sugar Dust from Osugarfoot.com

Pretzel Soap by Pinktiramisu

Pearl Necklace by sephshug

Lego Soap by Washable Art

Autumn in Japan pendant by CaughRedHanded

I think I am definately going to be buying some items off this site in the near future...perhaps Christmas shopping??

Shopped at the Gap lately?

I don't know about you guys but I've really been noticing the Gap lately. Whenever I go to the mall, I don't usually go into that store because I know I can't afford most items in there. But damn they sure do have nice stuff! Here's a short wish list I've gathered:

Cardigan $58

Classic Trench $148

Sweater jacket $78

Man I really wish I had a bit more money because this stuff is beautiful! I'm definately going to have to go into the Gap more often and atleast check out the sales!

Need to start a Portugal fund!

This weekend I had some relatives from Portugal visit and it made me realize once again how badly I want to learn more about my background and visit Portugal especially. I've always really wanted to go there, but I really think I need to start setting aside money regularly to save up for a trip. Since I have relatives there I wouldnt really have to pay for a place to stay, just my plane and spending money. Plane tickets to Portugal are so expensive though, I was checking out prices online today and they were all around $3000!!! How insane! When it comes time to go I will definately enlist a travel agent to find me a good deal. I think my cousin went once for around $900 so it can really vary. Either way I will definately need to save a few thousand dollars for that trip!

This visit also made me realize how much I want to learn the language. I think I am going to start searching for some night courses at the local schools around here for a Portuguese class. My goal is to eventually be bilingual.
Look at these pictures, aren't they gorgeous? No wonder I want to go so bad!

I just want to apologize for my lack of blogging in the last few weeks, I guess I have been kinda lazy and sometimes I don't feel I have much to write about. Anyways in my little hiatus I celebrated a birthday! I worked on my real birthday, but I did go away for the weekend, and had a great time. I managed to catch the new movie Dark Knight, with Heath Ledger. I am normally not really into these types of movies, but I was pretty impressed with this one!

Work has been kind of crazy lately, we are having staffing issues lately with people on holidays and such and trying to find coverage. It has been pretty hectic but I find that taking things one day at a time helps a bit. I also got a cost of living raise, which doesnt do a whole lot, but I guess every little bit makes a difference.

Anyways, I do have two product reviews for you. I had been thinking awhile about getting a new mascara, I was considering getting Benefit's Badgal Lash. I talked to my friend who works in the cosmetics department at work and she said she didn't think it was worth the money in her opinion and that Covergirl's Lashblast was just as good. The Lash Blast was the other one I was considering.
I have to say, this mascara is pretty good! I haven't tried the Benefit one, but I'll bet she was right. It makes your lashes look longer and thicker. My lashes are incredibly long already, so I usually go for the volume boosting types. It definately measures up in the volume department, although they never seem to look at thick as I want them to, but I think thats my issue. lol. Anyways its a great mascara and I would recommend it to anyone.

My next review is for the Covergirl Amazement Wetslicks! Here's the one I bought today:

Mine is called SlapHappy and its a nice pinky/coral colour with a little bit of shimmer. These are exactly like the regular wetslicks except they have peppermint oil in them so it smells like toothpaste and gives your lips a tingly cool feeling. I love these things! And I love the colour that I chose as well. I may have to get another. It reminds me of Urban Decays XXX Shine Gloss which also has the minty flavour. Its just as good and only half the price.

Anyways I would love to hear what you guys think about these products, who's bought them? Did you love or hate them?

Benefit You Rebel

In my last order from Sephora, I got a sample of Benefit's "You Rebel". Its described as being " a defiantely different tinted moisturizer," and it only comes in the one shade which is supposed to work for everyone I assume. There is a "lite" version as well for lighter skin tones. It is a 3-in-1 product giving you coverage, moisture and SPF.
The first thing I noticed when I squeezed some into my hand was that it's kind of an awful colour in your hand. But I put it on my face anyway and it blended in very nicely with my skin tone and it looked great overall. I just used concealer under my eyes and in a few problem spots, then used my Physicians Formula mineral powder over top, and that was it. I liked the coverage and the little boost of colour it gave my face. I would say this is a great product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quick and easy look. This is especially good for the summer when you want to minimize the amount of product used when its super hot ouside.

Look what I got in the mail...

Today I finally got my Sephora package in the mail. This one took a little longer than the last time I ordered from them, and I was getting a little anxious. But finally..my goodies came..

My Hope in a Jar with SPF!! They just came out with the SPF formula and its only at Sephora. I also thought I would try their Purity Made Simple cleanser, because I figure if I love the moisturizer, I might love the cleanser as well. Then I also got 5 (thats right, 5) samples! Everytime you place an order, you get 3 free samples. Because I'm a beauty insider and my account had reached 100 points ($100 spent) I got a "deluxe" sample (which in this case, wasnt really bigger than a normal sample, bummer!). Then I also searched "sephora promo codes" online and found a code for another one.

Heres the list:
  • Stila All Over Shimmer liquid luminizer
  • Boscia antioxidant recovery treatment
  • Benefit You Rebel - "a defiantly different tinted moisturizer"
  • Clinique almost makeup in Neutral (my "deluxe" sample)
  • Murad Firming Bronzer (I'm actually wondering if this is considered a sample because it doesnt say "not for sale" like all the others and its pretty big, 30 mLs. ) I think its actually a full size product (but a small size)
Note to self: 8oz of cleanser is not that much. If I reorder, get a bigger one next time!
I have only used the cleaser once and havent tried any samples yet. Once I have tried the samples and have used the cleanser more, I will be adding some reviews.

Oh I love Winners...

This weekend I decided to go to my local Winners. I hadn't been there in awhile and when you don't have much else to do, its a great way to pass the time. It can be fun to sift through the many racks of clothing looking for a great deal. In case anyone doesnt know what Winners is, it's a store that sells brand name clothing for less than what you would pay had you bought it elsewhere. For instance you could buy a "Guess" purse for cheaper than you would get it at the Guess store in the mall or at The Bay.
I went in there telling myself not to spend more than $50.00. Here's what I bought:
  • Roots active pants for $24.99 compared to about $50 at a Roots store
  • Tommy Hilfiger clutch for $20.00 compared to $39.00 (according to the tag). I checked out Amazon.com and found the exact same one for $39.00. The tag was right!
Here's pics:
So does anyone else shop at Winners? Have you got any super deals there? I want to hear about it!

Lise Watier Plumpissimo Le Gloss

After seeing this new Lise Watier line on other blogs and seeing it in Shoppers Drug Mart I decided I had to check these out. I tested the colours on my hand one day and I liked the amount of colour they had plus the fact that they were not too sticky.
A couple days later I bought one. I bought "Baie" which is like a medium pink/burgundy kind of colour, shown on the far right of the picture. This is actually supposed to be a plumping lip gloss. I was never into the whole plumping thing, the main reason I wanted to buy one of these was the colours.
The colour looks great on my lips, and it has ok staying power, plus it is a little bit sparkly. In my opinion, it doesn't really make my lips look any fuller. The only bad thing about this gloss is the smell.
So if you are looking for fuller lips, skip this one. But if you want a bold colour, with good consistency in a not-too-sticky formula, then go pick up one of these babies. They retail for $20.00 at Shoppers.

Who Doesn't Love Sephora?

I was very pleasantly surprised the other day when I discoverd that the Ultimate beauty store, aka Sephora has an official blog! I was so excited, I went to it immediately and started reading and bookmarked it of course.

I was also really excited to discover that one of my new favourite products, Hope in a Jar by Philosphy has made an SPF 20 formula! I am very excited about this! I have been using this moisturizer for awhile and I really like it, but I was disappointed that it didn't have SPF. Well, now it does! They have also made a new formula of the Purity Made Simple Cleanser, it is now in a foaming cleanser. Apparently customers have been begging for it. I don't know why because foaming cleaners are generally detergent based, which is bad for your skin, but this one claims not to be.

Another thing I wanted to mention is the Best of Sephora 2008 sweepstakes. Basically you vote on your favourite products and one lucky person will win one of every winner (thats 30 products) plus a $1000 gift card and a trip to san francisco. 10 second prize winners will win $100 sephora cards. So go vote people!

Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Butter by Body Shop

Isn't it pretty? I have to admit, the first thing that caught my eye was the pretty flowers and pink packaging. Even the actual moisturizer is pink. Then I smelled it and fell in love. Its $20.00 for 200 mLs, which I thought was a little more than I like to pay but not too bad. I have to admit I wasnt huge into the Body Shop before, infact I hadn't shopped there for a long time, then while visiting a friend and shopping with her, we went in to the store and I found myself wishing for quite a few items. They also have this awesome bronzing brush right now that feels super soft on your skin. If anyone gets a chance to go into the Body Shop go check out that brush. I kinda wish I bought it now actually.

Botanics Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes

This is a product that I have been using for awhile and thought I would tell you all about it. Botanics Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes are made by Boots No.7, the brand that makes the infamous No.7 Restore and Renew Beauty Serum featured in this Macleans magazine article.

Before I tried this I tried the Marcelle brand ones. They were great but then I saw these and realized they were a little cheaper and they are just as good! You can get them at your local Shoppers Drug Mart for $8.00 for a package of 30 wipes.

I use them at night to take off my makeup because I am usually too lazy to go through the cleansing routine. They are excellent at removing all your makeup and don't leave your skin feeling dry. If you are looking for a "quick fix" this is definately something to try.

Total Beauty

If you have not heard of "Total Beauty" then today is your lucky day. Its this great website all about beauty! Its got products reviews, tips and tricks, message boards and tons of great articles.

Every time you review a product you get entered into a sweepstakes and you could also be an instant winner of various gift certificates. I have been reviewing all kinds of products in the hopes that I will win something but no such luck yet.

I have also been reading some articles and some are really interesting like "Luxe vs Less Hair Care" which explores which cheapies are as good as the high-end product. According to this article, Marc Anthony Simply Straight Instant Straightening Cream is just as good as Fekkai Coiff Controle Ironless Straightening Balm. And Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Conditioner is just as good asAlterna Caviar Seasilk Collection.

There is also a section about beauty blogs which gives you links to various beauty blogs, as a top ten beauty blogs list and if you think your blog has got what it takes you can submit your own blog to be a member.

So just for the record this is going to be my new favourite website for awhile..if you get a min (or an hour because you wont want to leave) check it out!

My First Ebay Purchase!

I just won an ebay auction!!!

I'm so excited! This is going to be my first ebay purchase. I have always thought about buying things from ebay but never actually tried it. I've had an ebay and paypal account for a few years even!

Well lately I have been browsing around and finding so many things I want, and for so much cheaper than in the stores...like makeup (MAC, Smashbox) and Roxy purses and clothing.

I just bought a Smashbox Creamy Highlighter Quad, and have a few other items in mind that I've been keeping my eye on such as a few roxy purses, some MAC and Philisophy items. People warn me that Ebay is addicting, but I don't really care I say let the addiction begin!

Here is a picture of what i've just bought!

Relationships...

A recent weekend trip with a co-worker has got me thinking about relationships. She's got a boyfriend and boy, does he ever make me glad that I don't have one. I mean this guy is a fairly nice guy and all, but there is just little things he does that drive me up the wall and then it makes me think about myself and what I would be willing to put up with if it was me.

It's just little things like...always correcting her on every thing she says/does, and always telling her what to do. Sometimes I think he acts more like her father than a boyfriend! It gets me thinking, how much is too much? How bad does he have to be before you can start calling him "controlling"? He doesn't hit her or call her names, does that make it ok?? Or is this a warning sign of future behaviour like that?

When I hang out with them, I think to myself " if this is what its like to have a boyfriend, then I don't want one!"
I like to think that if it was me in that situation I would definately get out. But you can't really say until you've been in it right?? I bet all girls say that until they find that one guy they love too much to let go no matter what right?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic! How much is too much? How much would you put up with before you leave?

Need to vent!

Well today has been a pretty stressful day for me and I just need to get things out here. Lately I have just been not feeling like myself. I am just so stressed out lately at work. I mean I do love my job but I work in a pharmacy and its a very stressful job. Plus I just got promoted (which IS good) but its also an added pressure. There is still so much to learn (which is good cause I like learning) but it leaves me feeling stupid (for lack of a better word) most of the time.

Plus I am really moody lately, like the littlest things set me off and I want to cry. Like when I made mistakes at work, and people correct me, because they should cause I need to learn but sometimes I feel like how could I be so stupid? And then sometimes when I am dealing with customers, I can see in their eyes that they don't believe me because I am so young. I feel like they are thinking "she doesnt know anything shes just a girl" and I can tell they are thinking it and then it makes it harder for me to be pleasant with them because I feel like they are judging me.

I just feel really emotional lately and I don't know why. I feel like the stress is just too much to handle right now and I can't take it...but I don't know what I can do other than just to take it day by day...ugh.

Well thanks for letting me vent!! If anyone is or has been in this situation and has any suggestions please comment!

Update

Just thought I would post a quick update on what's going on with me.

Currently reading : The Time Travellers Wife. Anyone heard of this book? Someone lent it to me and I have been reading it for about a week...and well I'm not really getting it I'm afraid. I am not really understanding what's going on, but I keep on reading...lol

Work has been going good...yesterday was pretty busy and I worked late, but oh well thats an extra hour of pay. Time has been flying by and I am learning lots. Hopefully we are still hiring one more person to take the pressure off a bit.

Coming up next month I'm going to Ottawa!!!!! I'm so excited! I have been there twice and it seems like a really nice city to live in. Infact I may contemplate moving there in 3-4 years!

I'm looking to read some really good books about like personal finance or investing for beginners. If anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate it!

Book Update

So incase you haven't figured out from my previous post about reading, I am an avid reader. I always have been, but more so lately because when you have an hour break at work each day, it's nice to have something to read.

So the last book I mentioned was "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. As I expected, it was amazing. Totally suspensful I didn't want to put it down. The ending was a total surprise.
Since then I have read "Plain Truth" and "The Pact" also by Jodi Picoult. I highly recommend these books and any other books by her. I looked her up on the chapters website and noticed she has a lot of books. Its my goal to read them all.

Here is the desciption for "The Pact" from Chapters:
Until the phone calls came at three o’clock on a November morning, the Golds and their neighbors, the Hartes, had been inseparable. It was no surprise to anyone when their teenage children, Chris and Emily, began showing signs that their relationship was moving beyond that of lifelong friends. But now seventeen-year-old Emily is dead—shot with a gun her beloved and devoted Chris pilfered from his father’s cabinet as part of an apparent suicide pact—leaving two devastated families stranded in the dark and dense predawn, desperate for answers about an unthinkable act and the children they never really knew.

Has anyone else read any of Jodi's books?? I would love to hear what you think!

Promotion!

I must share my good news with everyone. I'm getting a promotion at work!
I'm now officially a pharmacy technician, and I'm going to be full time! I also got a raise to $10/hr up from like $8.35. Still not a LOT of money, but its definately an improvement. Looks like I'll be getting a car sooner than I had planned.

Also I will be able to get my 3500 hours by 2010 to write the exam to become certified. I think I have approx 1000 hours so far. I thoguht my hours so far didn't count because i wasnt officially a tech but my new boss said she will count them.

This came at the perfect time. I was feeling really stressed at work. A lot of changes going on with getting a new boss, plus I was really stressed about my wage because I felt I didn't get paid what I deserve. So this really made my day basically and now I feel I am a lot closer to getting where I want to be!

My Latest purchases!

Ok I have a lot of things to mention today!
First off, I received my order from Sephora, so I thought I would comment on my new products!
Just to refresh here are the products I ordered:
- Hope in a Jar 2 oz size.
- Smashbox "Try Me" set which includes : photo finish primer, clear lip gloss, photo op under eye brightener, a palette of brow powders, cream liners and brow wax and a double ended brow/liner brush. The primer, lip gloss and under eye things are small sizes (hence the Try Me title).

So far the Hope in a Jar I really like. This stuff was on the Oprah show. It is supposed to be like the miracle cream I guess. lol It says you will notice a difference within days and I have to admit so far they are right! I have only been using it for like 3 days and I am noticing a slight difference. Nothing huge yet but hey its only been 3 days. My skin looks a little brighter and ..more lively shall we say?? And the redish areas seem to be not as noticeable. I can't wait to see what it looks like after a month or more! The only bad thing I can say about it is that it smells bad. But the good outweighs the bad for sure!

I am also pretty impressed with my Smashbox set. I tried the primer and so far it seems good! It makes my makeup look smoother and after working all day it lasts a bit longer now. The eye liner brush makes it SO easy to apply liner.

In my order I also got to pick 3 free samples so i got : J'adore by Dior fragrance, Ojon restorative hair treatment, and Sugar Tint oil free tinted moisturizer.

Today I went shopping and I must share my purchases!!! I bought a new flat iron, a "pink dazzle" limited edition CHi flat iron! It's pink and sparkly and comes with a travel mat thing so that was pretty cool. I've already tried it and it definately works better than my old one.
I also went to the MAC counter at The Bay and bought two eyeshadows ( Vanilla and Naked Lunch) and a Beauty Powder Blush (Sweetness). Haven't tried them yet but I will be doing that tomorrow!

Monday, March 10, 2008

Finally bought my favourite perfume...

This is my favourite perfume ever...."Pure Poison" by Dior. I have always loved this perfume but never thought to buy it because its so expensive!! The largest size is like $120.00!!!
Well this year I decided that when I got my tax return I would buy myself some. So i got the money on Friday and today I finally bought it! Luckily I got to use my employee discount...but even with that the biggest one was still a bit more than I wanted to spend so i got the 50 mL size..its $87.oo but with my discount I got about $26.00 off so it was a pretty good deal! This scent is just so mesmerizing....so seductive...lol I'll stop now. Anyways...now I can finally say I own a bottle!

Who Loves Sephora?

This is a post for all you make up junkies out there...If you have never been to a Sephora store, you need to go. This place is amazing. Now, I live in Canada so we haven't had it that long, infact I think there is only 3 so far in Ontario if I remember correctly.
I'll always remember the first time I went there with my friends in college. Walking into the store I was in awe of all the colours and bright lights. There is literally so much makeup you do not know where to look first! It's quite overwhelming, really.
Anyways, today I am excited because I ordered stuff from Sephora online!!!! I got an email about a promotion saying if you bought the 2 oz "Hope in a Jar" for $38 you got a "deluxe sample" of their cleanser called Purity Made Simple. Well I had always wanted to try "Hope in a Jar" so I thought why not? Well, when i got to the site I found that $38 dollar tub was really $50 dollars for us Canadians (even though our dollar is worth just as much now), but I figured oh well. I also added a Smashbox "Try Me" set for only $29. Today when I finally placed my order I learned the promotion was over!! I was so disappointed! Oh well, I still got 3 free samples. Anyways...I can't wait to get my stuff in the mail...I just love getting packages in the mail!
If anyone would like to share their Sephora experience I would love to hear it!

Good weekend for me!

Well this past weekend was pretty good for me. On Saturday I went to the casino with my mom and came home with an extra $70.00 in my pocket! So that was pretty cool! That got set aside and I'm going to put it towards my student loan. Then I did my tax return and found out I'm going to get over $1000.00 back!! This is way more than I thought I would get so I am going to think carefully about what to do with it...I know I want to put lots towards my student loan but I am also contemplating buying a new flat iron ( a SUPER good one), my favourite perfume (Pure Poison by CHristian Dior), and I'm also thinking about getting a massage and maybe possibly going to Ikea. Well thats quite a few ideas so I don't think I will do all those, but we'll see.

Then today was not such a good day. After my great weekend I found out my little sister got a job and is now making more than me. Im not sure how much more but my mom said its a lot and I said don't tell me. This is absolutely humiliating. I feel like everything they tell you when you're a kid is a big lie...try hard in school, get good grades, go to college and you're set. Well I did all of that and it hasn't gotten me anywhere except in debt. Infact most of my friends from high school who didnt bother with studying, didn't care about their grades, and didn't go to college or dropped out of college are the ones making good money.
Now i personally really enjoy my job, I feel like I finally found something that I enjoy where I feel fulfilled, like I do something that matters and helps people, and here I am still living with my parents because I make just over minimum wage. Incase you were wondering, i work in a pharmacy. I feel like i work my ass off for nothing. I do way more than my job description, and I get paid like i do nothing. I can't even live on my own right now because its pretty much impossible. Something needs to change. I am going to talk to my boss, like really sit down with her and explain why I think I deserve a raise. And if that doesnt work then I am finding a new job. Which would really suck if i had to do that because I honestly love the team of women I work with....oh well...thats life i guess eh? anyways thats enough of my ranting...

I finished the book I was writing about, "Nineteen Minutes", its pretty good but I did not like the ending at all. But I would still suggest it to anyone who wants a good read and I will still be looking to read other books by this author.
On another good note, I made some really good chicken this weekend! I got the recipe from cheapcooking.com
Here is the recipe:

Garlic Chicken with Parmesan

1/2 cup butter
4 cloves chopped garlic
3-4 boneless skinless cihcken breasts
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Melt some butter and and add the chopped garlic to it. Lay the chicken breasts in a single layer in a baking dish. Cover them with grated Parmesan cheese and pat it down a bit, then pour the butter and garlic over them.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or so, until done.

Now, I dont know if the garlic was supposed to like melt into the butter or not, but it didn't. Lol so it was cheesy chicken with little chunks of garlic on top. I think you could probably get a similar result by maybe using garlic powder, or just melting garlic butter? Anyways it was still really good either way!! I suggest trying it! Anyways thats all for today, hope everyone had a great weekend!

Don't You Love to Read??

A while ago I read this AMAZING book called My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I can't even begin to explain how great this book was. It was on a controversial topic and it really makes you think. Here is the description from Chapers:

"New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult is widely acclaimed for her keen insights into the hearts and minds of real people. Now she tells the emotionally riveting story of a family torn apart by conflicting needs and a passionate love that triumphs over human weakness.

Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate -- a life and a role that she has never challenged...until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister -- and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable, a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves. "

Well the other day I was at Walmart and i saw this book called "Nineteen Minutes" and noticed that it was by the same author. Now it was pretty cheap because Walmart is now selling books at the american price. But i decided to wait and see if they sold it at my work because I knew I would get it cheaper. Today i walked in and there it was! I bought it immediately...I read a few pages during my break and it already sounds good. So I'm pretty excited about my new book! I'm sure I will be done in a few days. Here is a preview of "Nineteen Minutes" from Chapters as well:

Jodi Picoult, bestselling author of "My Sister's Keeper" and "The Tenth Circle," pens her most riveting book yet, with a startling and poignant story about the devastating aftermath of a small-town tragedy.
Sterling is an ordinary New Hampshire town where nothing ever happens--until the day its complacency is shattered by an act of violence. Josie Cormier, the daughter of the judge sitting on the case, should be the state's best witness, but she can't remember what happened before her very own eyes--or can she? As the trial progresses, fault lines between the high school and the adult community begin to show--destroying the closest of friendships and families. "Nineteen Minutes" asks what it means to be different in our society, who has the right to judge someone else, and whether anyone is ever really who they seem to be.

If anyone reads this post I really hope you will check out this author because you will fall in love with her books!

First Post

After starting a blog relating to monetary topics, I've decided to make another blog for a more personal use. That way I can keep that blog for money-related topics and anything else I feel like talking about can go in here. :)
In this blog I will just write about my life in general, my opinions on things and pretty much anything else I want to talk about.
I am not going to post any pictures of me, or give my real name out because I wish to remain anonymous. Thats just how I feel...

I'm pretty new to this blogging thing and I've heard you can actually make money from it! Ive done a lot of research into it and I am hoping to be able to make money with my two blogs. Most sites require your blog to be 3 months old...but for some its only 1 month so my goal is to begin earning off my blogs by the beginning of April. So we will see what happens! Anyways thats all for now! Happy Blogging!
